Dr Michael Meguid
Dr. Michael M. Meguid

Overcoming a childhood of abandonment and neglect, Dr. Meguid became a world-renowned surgeon.

But before that, he had to learn how to become a man. Now, that story is revealed.

Who is

Dr. Michael Marwan Meguid?

A wounded boy from Cairo who found healing for himself in England while learning how to deliver healing for others with his scalpel.

Childhood

Dr. Meguid began life as the son of a prominent Arabic linguist in Cairo, Egypt. At four years old, he was left with his grandparents in post-WWII Germany and retrieved five years later to live with his parents in Manchester, England. The family returned to Cairo two years later. Shortly afterward, Dr. Meguid's father unexpected passed away while working for UNESCO in Beirut.

Adolescence

Neglect throughout his childhood and shuffled across Egypt, Germany, and London, Michael was constantly learning and adapting to new cultures, languages, and peoples. He arrived at boarding school in Manchester, England at 16-years-old, an isolated and depressed teen.

But he had a dream: to go to University College, London and become a surgeon.

Adulthood

Michael accomplished his dream, going on to practice and conduct research at Harvard's Massachusetts General, MIT, Brigham & Women's, UCLA, and Syracuse University. He  founded a medical journal, "Nutrition."

Today, he is retired from medicine and writes full time from his home on a Southwest Florida island.
